I’m so glad

you’re here

I'm Cera, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Marin County

I support women who feel stuck, unmotivated, or burnt out as they navigate life's transitions. Maybe you're feeling unfulfilled in your job, exploring the dating world, or trying to build a stronger social circle. Perhaps you've spent so much time caring for others that you've lost sight of your own needs and dreams.

I’m inspired to guide women in building confidence, gaining clarity, and embracing the beauty of life's uncertainty. Whether you're feeling "behind in life”, exhausted but longing for change, or simply unsure of your next steps, I will help you reconnect with your values and trust the path unfolding before you. Together, we’ll create space for growth, self-discovery, and a deeper sense of fulfillment.

Education & Experience

My journey in mental health began with a degree in psychology and education, and a teaching credential from the University of Colorado. I later earned a graduate degree in counseling psychology/marriage and family therapy from the University of San Francisco.

Over the years, I’ve worked in schools, residential treatment centers, and group practices, supporting individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges. My experience spans working with children, teens, and adults through individual, family, and group therapy. Beyond therapy, I’ve also developed and taught social-emotional learning programs for students, teachers, and parents.

Outside of work, I’m a dancer, beach lover, avid reader—and occasional lounger. These activities keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of play and joy. I bring this mindset into my therapy practice, helping clients cultivate peace, embrace creativity, and weave more moments of fun into their lives

More about me

Thanks to my own therapist, I recently learned that I’m a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)—a realization that has truly transformed my life. If you’ve ever been called 'too sensitive' or told to 'just relax,' I can relate! Embracing my heightened sensitivity has been empowering, and it’s now something I bring into my work. It allows me to connect deeply with others while staying curious, empathetic, and open-minded.

I grew up in Miami, FL, where I found solace in the ocean’s calming presence, though I was terrified of its depths. Over time, I’ve come to appreciate its full complexity—the calm, the danger, the uncertainty—much like the emotions we navigate in life. Together, I’ll guide you in turning toward your feelings and exploring what they’re trying to tell you, rather than turning away from them.

I approach therapy with the belief that true healing begins with understanding the whole person. As a woman, I understand the immense pressure we place on ourselves and the unrealistic timelines and expectations society often imposes on us. These pressures can blur what truly matters to us, leaving us feeling stuck or disconnected.

In our work together, you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to support you in uncovering your values, goals, and inner wisdom. Through a personalized and collaborative approach, we’ll reconnect with your most authentic self, helping you approach life with curiosity, compassion, and confidence.

I believe that when you meet your own needs and find your unique groove, you can show up in the world more authentically and kindly. And in a world filled with chaos and division, working on healing yourself is the first step toward creating a ripple effect of healing and connection around you. If you’re ready to start this journey, you’re in the right place—I’m here to walk alongside you.
